We are founders of The Rug & Table Shop at The Piece Hall and Calder Valley Flooring in Calderdale.
At Calder Valley Flooring, we have over 25 years experience between us in the flooring industry and a continued passion for helping our customers country wide create personalised living spaces with versatile, practical yet beautiful flooring from our base in Ripponden.
Our customers told us they want the finishing touches to their new floors with beautiful rugs, bespoke tables and stunning accessories. That’s when we opened The Rug & Table Shop.
Sarah is based at The Rug & Table Shop and can answer all your questions. With her knowledge of materials, her contacts with the foremost suppliers and her passion helping create bespoke pieces for you, customers know they are getting a personal service second to none and will get help choosing exactly the right products for their home.

2013 - Started the Flooring Company
Lee & Sarah moved to Ripponden in August 2011 and they very quickly fell in love with the area. With Lee working in the flooring industry for many years, when a local shop became available in 2013 they jumped at the opportunity and decided to move Lee’s flooring work from Guiseley to Ripponden.

2017 - Growing Business
Sarah joined the company at the beginning of the year to oversee the running of the shop. Sarah brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the business including design and commercial. Sarah has worked in the construction industry for many years and uses this knowledge to help customers where required.

2018 - Moving On Up!
This year was the start of something new! Lee and Sarah expanded and moved the flooring range to a larger showroom at Commercial Mills in Ripponden with larger storage facilities and dedicated customer parking. Lee also expanded his knowledge on bespoke wood flooring. Erika joined the team, with the role of managing the store and carrying out the marketing for the business.

2019 - New Venture: The Rug & Table Shop
This year Sarah has taken on a new business venture by opening The Rug & Table Shop at The Piece Hall, Halifax, focusing on quality rugs and bespoke hand made tables. The tables are designed by Sarah, and Lee produces their signature table tops using his bespoke skills from the flooring industry.
